| Congrats to Haruka on her Nebelhorn Trophy Bronze! おめでとうございます! \(^o^)/ http://deu-event.de/results/Nebelhorn_2012/CAT002RS.HTM Can't get why she still gets really low PCS... edit: Protocol http://www.deu-event.de/results/Nebelhorn_2012/NT2012_Ladies_FS_Scores.pdf Seems she got UR calls on her 3Lz and 3S jumps. |

| ①ディヴェルティメントK.137変ロ長調第2楽章 Divertimento in B flat major, K137 (Salzburg Symphony No. 2)II. Allegro di molto ②ヴァイオリン・ソナタ32番K.376ヘ長調第2楽章 Violin Sonata in F major, K. 376 (374d) II. Andante ③アイネクライネナハトムジークK.525ト長調第4楽章 の順でつないでます Eine kleine Nachtmusik (Serenade No. 13 for strings in G major), K. 525 IV Rondo: Allegro No wonder when the person there asked Haruka about her music, she said she didn't know the details LOL some notes from internet and I can't really find every source. 1. Yuka said somewhere that the way Haruka executed her Lzs and Flips were wrong and if they let her kept doing that, her right foot will get injury due to that again. Sounds like they spent time to correct her 3Lz and 3Flips. Her flips look easy now and she didn't have edge call for Lz now maybe she was a little bit UR this time but let's wait and see. 2. they spent 1/3 of training time working on her skating skills. she really improved a lot and she looks good even in second half of program. 3. you may notice that she changed her 3S-2lo-2t to 3lo-2lo-2t and her 2A-3T is back she still tried to level up her components even she rested for a long time and started late this year due to her injury after 4cc. 4. she wore her FS dress for exhibition and because there was time during ceremony and her FS, she let her hair down and covered her boots:) I know everyone has different taste but I heard about that if you don't use boots cover, that can show your blade more clear. IMO, i think with boots cover may let your legs look fat than without it. her PCS...i think if she can do her SP right then she will get better PCS in FS because she got 1-2 additional point for each elements from her SP to FS. if she can do her SP good and clean, she can get better scores and FS. she needs to build her reputation since she is not Adelina who was JGPS champion. (of course, Adelina is pretty good at some ways) on a side note, nothing about Haruka, every time I see Adeline's costume, I start to worry about Mao's (TOT)

| Haruka got 7 triple jumps in her FS but Adelina and Kaetlyn still scored higher both with 5 triples only. Haruka got 3 UR calls, Kaetlyn got one UR (fall) and an E and Adelina had a fall so all three of them got 4 clean triples each. But the difference in PCS is really big even with that near flawless performance. She deserved higher PCS than what she got.
Kaetlyn Osmond is quite new also, right? I think she turned senior last season and won bronze at Canadian Nationals. She sure got Adelina level PCS already. |

Katelyn has more base value than Haruka for her elements which means her elements are harder in score point of view. then she got more GOE than Haruka. so judges will value her performance higher than Haruka's. like what you said, Haruka did 7 triples but three of them are UR that also caused her negative GOE and judges thought...she can't do 3S and 3Lz clean.
The other thing is old problem, maybe Katelyn performance with more "impact" when you saw her live. an example from my friends, they said they never like Miki ( i don't know why) but after seeing her live in 4cc 2011, they think Miki is better than Mao and with better present on ice.
sometimes i would like avoid the PCS issue because if I care about that too much, the first thing I need to complain about will be Taka's scores then get frustrated. I can accept that they don't like his style for presentation or other thing but I would never get the SS scores. |

I always thought that tights over boots make the skaters' legs look longer.
To be honest, I always worry about Mao's costumes when TAT is her choreographer, and after seeing Adelina's FP I also worried about Mao's FP, but this has changed a bit since I saw the beginning of her program in recent clip. |

| http://youtu.be/3h1ZHLFu0Gg Haruka's SP and the other version of FS (from judges view) apparently she was not familiar with her SP yet, at least not at FS level. She said she didn't do her SP yet during DOI and you can find some similar movement in her FS and pure imagination she did her FS first then SP but I think she spent time to change her FS due to ISU rules changed after that...like most of ppl got FS ready earlier. ETA: about the boots cover, to make your line better is the original purpose so looks longer is right theory. I am not sure it really helps to get higher scores since lots of top skaters removed that including Miki, Carolina, Akko and Mao. Then Miki and Carolina won worlds without that so I am not sure about that now. ETA: bio updated http://www.isuresults.com/bios/isufs00010981.htm |

| when there was Cup of China, there were Eastern Japanese and Western Japanese Championship Haruka and Dice won Eastern Japan. http://www.daito.ac.jp/news/details_6218.html she wore the jacket from her university for local competition. http://supodai.seesaa.net/article/300442876.html protocols http://www.jsfresults.com/National/2012-2013/fs_j/east/data0203.pdf http://www.jsfresults.com/National/2012-2013/fs_j/east/data0205.pdf she got new backup plan...she didn't land her 2A well then she replaced her Lz by 2A+3T the other good news is she didn't have UR call except the 2A she fall. |

| Thanks for the news shikure. But why did Haruka compete there, since she has a GP assignment? Did she have to, to qualify for nationals? |

| Stupid rules. Oh well, congrats Haruka. On a sad note, Miu Sato did not even reach the free skate. So, I guess that means she won't go to junior nats and she's done for the season. . . |
