This brick wall looks like the same as when Mao was kissed by that little boy. I think it's so great to see Mao having this approachable quality to her that engulfs everyone in sweetness. I think that's why we see so many instances where other people have a sweet moment like this with her and the flower girls and the pic with Yuzuru this time around, Taka @ The ICE, etc.
Mao adores children. It is very obvious that she does. If I am not mistaken, she once said that she wanted to have seven children. She is so precious!

flower maowataiyo, I find Maoís indifference to fashion very cute. I am glad she is not a fashion victim flaunting Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada etcÖ She is an excellent role model. Someone her age normally canít afford to buy such brands and her tastes are very age appropriate. She definitely needs to upgrade her wardrobe. I hope she sticks to unique brands. She should avoid strapless dresses. She does not want to emphasize that area of her figure. Mao should show off her broad shoulders and long legs. Maybe she should try a few Japanese designers. I am sure she can find something that is easy to pack. Or, she can ask her kimono sponsor to design her some formal dresses using kimono fabric. Well, that can be kind of tricky too. They may design some horrible dresses and she may feel obliged to wear them.

I do forgive her for wearing sweatpants at the airport. Being comfortable on the plane is very important. She is an athlete so wearing cute sportswear is not inappropriate. I love that Mao looks so pretty and natural without makeup. She should wear makeup for interviews and TV shows.

polosatik! I thoroughly enjoyed reading your review! Thank you for sharing. Mao glows like the sun! I concur! Do you know what maowataiyo means? It means Mao is the sun.sunny Yuzu putting his medal on his coach is so sweet! I just love him more and more. His coach is stylish and pretty too. YuzuMao kawaii (so cute)! Aww! The people in the Russian forums are very nice to you. It sounds like you had fun with some Japanese tourists. I would be amazed if I met you and saw you with your self-made Mao banner. You are very talented. Mao is lucky to have you as a fan!

Thank you tokitama and jkblues! Iíve noticed that many of Maoís photos look like they belong at an art gallery. Simply stunning!

Thank you for taking the time to explain the meaning of my username, Spacey. You're so sweet. Love
I was getting stressed from school, but that truly made my day! Embarassed

Yes, I always thought Mao radiated and gave this feeling of warmth when you watched her skate like the sun and even when didn't things go as planned for her there was still something remarkably beautiful yet sad almost nostalgic-like feeling about her as if you were watching a sunset. She also embodied everything about the "hi no maru" for me because she was the origin of my love for figure skating and the sun will always rise and persevere.

And Mao is indeed anything but high maintenance. I checked out the A&F vest down she was wearing at the mall and it was marked down from $84 to $64 bucks- still not the cheapest for a commoner like myself, but reachable especially considering what my cousins in Japan have to pay if they're not shopping at UNIQLO or smaller low priced retailers. Not going to buy it though since A&F still has a long way to in becoming more diverse in their campaign and shop employees.

* I remember that interview you were talking about having seven kids! It was with Kokubun Taichi and I was like Faint2- you're going to be pregnant a good chunk of your life if you're serious.

Laugh She'll probably change her mind about that, once she'll get her first child.

Haha. In an interview around summer 2009 (I think) Mao said she wants two kids. She said she used to want many kids, but then she grew up and realized that it would be a lot of work. Too sweet!

Mao will surely be a good mother. And she will travel light (easy packing) even with kids.

Take a look at this picture of Mao in Russia. Is that what I think it is, because it better not be. Mao shouldn't be drinking alcohol! I mean, I know she's old enough, but still.....

come on crazsk8r no one is dying just because she drinks a glass of wine! I am just happy to see mao eating and drinking! cause this picture shows the usual Mao, and I mean you can't expect that a skater can't even drink a glass wine, that's exaggerating a bit!

Well, it could be water, in some restaurants you get water in wine glasses (never understood why) and even if it is wine, I agree with ballerinamao. Come on, she is 21! There's nothing wrong with drinking an ocasional glass of wine (as long as you're legally old enough).

zarinaballerina and ballerinamao, now that you've said that, I guess I do agree with you guys about the drinking. As long as she's careful, a little bit won't hurt. But just the idea of Mao drinking seems a little wierd, because I keep forgetting that Mao's not a child anymore. Too sweet!

This Thumbs up! I wish she'd get the same kind of masterpiece for her competitive programs, preferably for the olympics. It would be epic.

I was hoping for Camerlengo Razz , but since it's unlikely to happen, Lori PLEASE find that magic of yours again, and create something awesome for Mao.
