I found this series quite interesting to watch- breaking down the IJS from Jenny and Dave of The Skating Lesson. They compare what scores they would give to some of the top skaters (and the not so top ones), and what criteria to look for.TES Topics
The Layback (levels and GOE):
Performance and Execution:
They discuss Mao in some of them, in comparison to other skaters. They are generally fair comments to be honest.
It's surprising but I have come to appreciate Patrick's use of the blade and his definite high skills level on the ice, but when he stays on his feet of course
If only he is a bit quieter off the ice
I definitely do think that the Performance/Execution should not be the same score when someone falls multiple times- there should be a statement for a deduction for 2 or more falls.
