I don't know what is happening right now! Two of my video (one is MY montage i made about 2008 Skate Canada ladies preview and the other is the my homevideo about Lysacek 4toe-3toe in Skate Canada practice) ... in both emails I received, it's written "This is to notify you that we have removed or disabled access to the following
material as a result of a third-party notification by U.S. Figure Skating
claiming that this material is infringing:" What does U.S. Figure Skating has to do with this???? What can I do? And now, when I try to log in to Youtube it's written "
Your account has been permanently disabled." ...I don't want to lost my youtube account! I have so much videos in there!!!

This happened to me once as well. I posted two promotion montages of Japan Open 2007, and both of them were deleted and my account got suspended. Sadly, there's nothing that can be done about that.

The homevideos aren't safe, either - the broadcasting stations have paid for transmission rights and are not happy with sharing ANY footage, because in this way something that they had to pay for is available for free.

The recent competition videos are the most risky - if you plan to upload them, I would put them on a separate account. The broadcasting stations will probably stop caring after a few weeks and will not delete the videos anymore. However, I would not be surprised if they were deleted a year later - because the videos are often searched by file name and for example Skate Canada 2006 video can be mistook for Skate Canada 2008.

I recommend creating a few accounts - one for your montages and another or two for competition videos or fluffs. Don't use any competition names as a video title or description - if you have to, write it in an "unsearchable" way; for example "Šķāťë Ĉãņåďå".

This way, at least the montages should be safe.

Forever, I'm afraid. For some time the Youtube system will remember the name of your account as "suspended", then it will be deleted completely and the name will be available again for those who want to register. The videos are unrecoverable, though.

Oh, I'm so sorry that this happened to you I also have, I think, four or five of my montages deleted, but my account is alive though.

Noooo! My youtube acount got suspended!!!! All of my videos are gone, but worst of all, all of my favorites are gone! It's gonna take a while to find them again...

We need to be really careful with the videos. They don't seem to care about the older ones, but but anything new is very risky!

awww! That's sooo sad! I begin to really worry about "US figure skating"... they are trying to do what? To remove all the figure skating videos so that only "American people" (because they are the only one who can use icenetwork) can enjoy figure skating??

My account has been deleted recently. It really took me by surprise, because I haven't even logged in YT for a long while (pandemonium at work & lack of time... ), not to mention actually posting something.
I had a video deleted once, but it was a long time ago and I received a message when it was deleted. This time there was no warning or notification - just bang! and my account is gone.

I have no idea what irked IN/YT enough to have my account deleted. I suppose that either my videos from last season's GP were mistaken for this season's; or the trolls that kept on insulting Mao and skaters in the comments (seriously, they were so stubborn I had to turn off voting and commenting) kept on flagging my videos.

I'll miss the comments on Mao's LP at Worlds and Nobu's Cinema Paradise EX so much.

I plan to re-upload the videos out of sheer spite , and then move to rutube. I hope I can handle the language good enough to register.
