I'm happy to see the return of the 2A-3T. I like that combination Smile .

Sad to hear that she didn't do so well overall though. I'm glad she went for all 6 triples though!! I'm proud of her regardless Confetti .

So the salchow was clean? I think it's a very big plus that she landed that jump since it is also one of her problem jumps Yep! .

Oh, and I'm assuming that one of her 3Fs was supposed to have a 3L at the end of it? (Since the layout only has her repeating one jump twice, instead of two). Oh, and one 3A in the program! Good strategy I think!

Yes, people said Mao looked very good during warm up, especially her jumps.
Probably she's as nervous as usual at the beginning of season?

I thought she was going to do a triple loop - triple loop, as shown in last week's video. I guess they changed it at the last minute.

Maybe that's it. I think Nobuo Sato will help her calm her nerves down. He knows that he's barely starting to coach her, so there is still a learn to learn. The most important thing is that she has time until world championships. Nobuo will help her be confident by then. At least it is one competition before the start of the Grand Prix Final series.

hmm, I think the triple loop-triple loop was for the short program. Smile I kinda guess 2A-3T which she did today could be something different 3-3 in future.

Looks like she also did a 3LZ and a 3A-2T combo plus a solo 3F, one of her Flip was under-rotated, but her scores seemed low according to tweeter entries...

6種入れてる!2A3T!やっぱLz、Fは不安定かぁ。ん…もしや入んなかった3Fのコンビは3Lo?のセカンドトリプル2種復活!?そして後半に3A?攻めてるなぁ。 @inui_kumiko 真央ちゃん、調子悪い。2A3T、1F、3Lz転倒、1A、3F転倒、3S、3L

her 3L-3L is I think for her SP jump layout i guess...

i'm glad it's JO and and a peek to the real competition, nevertheless Mao thank you!!! I love you
I still love and adore you Mao!!!! i'm sure you did your best!
waiting for the result here...and fluff has started already here on TV Tokyo..

In all honesty, her score did seem too low. I thought the same thing. I hope someone uploads the video. I really want to see it already. She'll pick up. She always does.

Also very happy for Miki, but sad for Mao. Don't cry, Mao, you'll do better throughout the season!

If Mao cried then I guess she's disappointed and is putting too much pressure in herself again. But at least Mao didn't back down from the 3S and 3Lz challenge! Plus the 2A+3T... Looks like Mao will be having a 7 triple program this season.

The PCS scores are quite fascinating all around, to say the least. Laugh
Lower PCS than Cynthia? Mao must have been really out of it today; that's too bad. No

As usual, I'll be looking forward to how she regroups from here on out. I love you

And really high score for Adam. I think I'm going to check live commentary and look for his jump layout. Escape

ETA: Spoiler? (might be inaccurate)
All jumps clean for Adam - No quad, 2 3As, several tanos
Dai lands 4T but pops first 3A and had some step-outs
Miki also lands 2A-3T but falls on 3Lz

I heard that everybody including Jeff and Adam were cheering up Mao as she was disappointed after she skated. Mao, don't be sad!! You will get better.
I'm gonna be happy to see her new program even with jumping mistakes. People said Mao's program and her costume are beautiful. Many Hearts

As others have said already - falls are a part of the whole 'beginning of season' package Razz.

I'm just super-excited to see the new program, and Mao's costume!

Don't feel discouraged, Mao! This is only the first competition, and we're all cheering for you! Cheering

I'm looking forward to seeing her LP too.
It doesn't matter if she did it clean or not at this stage at all.

I admire Mao for trying 3z and 3s, never be content with what she can do now.
She's a real athlete and that's the way to go for two time world champion.
To succeed with her plan to land all different triple jumps in a program, she has to start it off anyway.
Starting something is important, however rocky it is.

What is sad is that I cannot watch the TV broadcast. It's not aired in my region. Neutral
So, I'm looking forward to Clovera's streaming Razz

Oops i didn't mean to be a spoiler on my last post but i think thats how i interpret the words
"勝った、勝ったぞう" in one or two of the tweets confused
Now, i'm really not sure. i guess I wasn't thinking again, my apologies.

i guess i just wanna see Mao's program in real telecast not just hearing it on tweets, regardless of the results, i'm sure Mao was great and tried her utmost best! Smile

another 70 mins. till the telecast...i can't wait here.....

Is it over???
I wanna see it! Panic! Panic! Panic!

I'm sure she'll be ok. She had problems with 3F, come on, of course it was just her nerves. But I'm worried about her crying. No

So she did the 3A in the second half indeed. Let's see if it's a good idea after all. I'm sure she'll make it in the GP series.
