Ooh, I can see just the teeniest bit of Mao's dress in that photo kirakira posted up Razz. The lavender colour reminds me of her Clair de Lune costume. So excited to see what it really looks like and, most importantly, how it looks on the ice!

ETA: The dress is beautiful! Elegant and flowy - just like Mao on the ice Wub.

Love her dress!
The color is beautiful and I've been waiting for another sleeveless costume for quite some time already.
Pity about the jumps but I'm sure she'll be ok.
I like the new jump layout too.

Hang in there, Mao!! You just need to give yourself a bit more time. (Hugs)

Here is another picture of Mao in her dress~

Like a Star @ heaven http://www.47news.jp/CN/201010/CN2010100201000605.html

Light purple with ruffles; one shoulder. Razz

Love Mao's smile in her practices; I haven't seen it for quite some time now. Reminds me of the days when she trained with Yamada coach. And she's smiling when she does her run-throughs!

Could somebody kindly post the judges score for Mao's performance? I'd love to see whether Mao's Lutz took off from the right edge. My computer couldn't read the Japanese codes on the PDF file. Sad

snowdrops24, it's a bit messy looking, but I'm sure someone will find a nicer way to post this x_x.

Aw, I was a bit off since I was predicting that the 2A will not be present, but it looks like Mao is going to go for a layout that include all of the triple jumps (incl. 3A) to get at least 7 triples in if she skates cleanly after all. This is a strategic choice - the Scale of Values for a solo 2A has been greatly reduced beginning this season, so by combining it with a triple jump the combination will be receiving the SoV's of a triple jump instead. A lot of the junior girls have been going for the 2A-3T to take advantage of this, and it looks like both Mao and Miki will be doing the same, at least in the FS. clown

Aah, that fluff about Mao and Miki (screaming Laugh) was so cute! Wink Hope somebody uploads it.

I'll write my impressions of Mao's program after I see it... But even right now, I see a lot of positive things in her performance. I think it was totally to be expected that in her first performance of the season her improved jumps will be shaky. To be honest, I expected worse. And I certainly didn't expect Mao to actually go for a full set of triples and 3A in the second half so soon!

Things I'm happy with so far:
1. If Mao attemped a full set of triples and 3A in the 2nd half so soon, it means she's more comfortable with them than I expected.
2. According to the reports, she looked strong in practice. So it's more a question of nerves and needing more practice doing jumps in the program.
3. Some od Mao's PCS were low because of the falls, but Mao's transitions score was high!
4. Lovely dress! Swoon
5. It looks like Mao's doing a flying camel now? I always wanted her to do it.
6. Yay, 2A-3T! I also wanted Mao to do it. I think this will hel her to perfect her axel technique and force her to learn to keep more speed out of the axel jumps.

OMG Miki's dress and spins are just gorgeous! Swoon I love her music. My new favourite LP of hers Smile Gosh, she looks mstunning in that dress. She has the same music as Nobu! Laugh And she nearly fell into the boards as Nobu... Slow down, kids! Smile And did I mention the lovely spins?
